Rain storms and warm pubs...

We began our day with plans of hikes in the forest and tours of the countryside close to Gort.  Before the rains arrived, we did spend the morning along the shores of Lough Derg, Ireland's third largest lake.

We enjoyed a stop in Portumna with its 17th century castle, harbor and Forest park.

We ended our day at O'Grady's Pub, in Gort.  It was a warm, dry haven from the storm.  A perfect spot for a Guinness mustache and to pass an afternoon.

An Irish toast

Beautiful young people are acts of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.

Hi.....Well, that's quite a Guiness Mustache you have there, Steve ! After all the rain and weather you talked about I guess you needed that !

Super cute boots Denise!
Looks STORMY! Glad you found some refuge. Is there more rain in the forecast?
I love Guinness lunches...they make Guinness mustaches even FUNNIER! :)
