Greetings from the Midlands...
Our home for our last three nights in Ireland is in the town of Athlone right in the middle of Ireland. Though often overlooked by visitors, the Midlands has plenty of history, scenery, character and today- RAIN.
We stayed warm at Sean's Pub. According to Guinness Book of Records, Sean's really is the oldest pub in Ireland (900 AD). It was cozy and loud... a great introduction to Athlone!

Wow! Sean's Pub really has some of history... 900 AD?! It is amazing that they even have records of it that far back.
It looks beautiful there, and you two look like you are dressed for the weather. Is this weather normal for this time of the year?
