Hola Spain!

After having a perfect breakfast overlooking Cucugnan, we drove for hours and are now in Barcelona.  We are only here for one night but after unloading the car, we went on a grand explore. After a delicious late lunch at a foccaceria, we began with a ramble on Les Rambles, a 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian shopping street that is a perfect place to people watch.  We then meandered the Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria (first mentioned in 1217), often simply referred to as La Boqueria, a large public market and one of the city's foremost tourist landmarks.  It is alive with colors, scents and amazing energy.

We will be back, at the end of the month, for a longer explore.  We can't wait.  Tomorrow we fly to Ireland.  What a great adventure.

Ok, that's it, I am now officially overloaded with envy! Not really. What wonderful places, sights and people on this new sojourn.
Gracias. Safe travels to Ireland.

Hi....sent you a long note from a picture of you both (in Spoleto) but found it was meant to reach you in Feb. '11, not now, so when it tried to go it disappeared. Anyway, so glad you're having another great adventure ! It looks so different from where you've been, but just as interesting.
Love you Both, M.

I love the market shots. It is hard to get a bad picture in such a colorful and exotic place!
The fish aren't exactly calling me name for dinner...
