'Obiettivo'-Charleston Photos in Spoleto

On June 24th, an exhibit of photos from Charleston, SC will be displayed in conjunction with the Festival dei Due Mondi.  Steve and I will be volunteering in the art gallery, hoping to share our love of Charleston and Spoleto.

Exhibit Concept and Purpose:
To improve understanding of Spoleto's Sister City, Charleston, and its environs.  The idea is that most Italian visitors to Spoleto are probably not aware that there is another Spoleto Festival, the story of how that happened and where it is located.  The exhibit would be informative while at the same time artistically exciting.  Bill Struhs', the Festival's photographer for decades, archives contain the Festival's visual memory.  Jack Alterman's roof tops of Charleston and other images provide exciting views of the City.  The works of John Brewton and Gian Luigi Scarfiotti will provide a beautiful understanding of the exciting landscapes and seascapes surrounding Charleston, the low country.  Thus, the exhibit would improve understanding of the original festival concept, Two Worlds, Due Mondi.
