A favorite local artist...Esmeralda
To me, one of the unique aspects of Italy is the use of billboards to publicize events. My favorite, thus far, was the one for Carnivale done by a Spoletina artist- Cristina Marchionni, also know as Esmeralda.
Last week, we were given the opportunity to visit Cristina's home/studio. Her international life was reflected in the interesting and vibrant paintings displayed there. What a fantastic glimpse into the life of an artist.
