The All Night Wine Tasting...
The highlight of Vini nel Mondo, for anyone who can stay up past 11 PM is La Notte Bianca, the White Night- an event that turns the city into one of lights, music and joy in all public places until dawn.
Steve and I walked with Nick and Theresa through all the Piazzas that were hosting the tastings, each with a band playing and more humanity than I have seen in Spoleto since arriving. The vibe was electric. For 10 €, each participant is giving a wine glass, a hanging wine glass holder and a punch ticket for four tastings beginning at 10 PM. The bands played until 3 AM yet the merriment continued farther into the wee hours. I'm eager to hear Nick and Theresa's review when they roll out of bed. For us, just walking out in it all was enough. Oh to be young again!

Reminds me of the Renaissance Faire with the wine bags for the glasses. How long did you last?
