Birds & Views... A Great Tahoe Day

In anticipation of a new, big storm coming, I accepted Jenny's invitation to come birding with her. Who knows when it will be this beautiful of a day, any time soon.

Though the day began with fog, the warmth of the sun made us happy to be out in it all.

I was rewarded with five new species for the Tahoe Big Year competition, including this handsome Hairy Woodpecker.

The sights were pretty rewarding as well.

I loved this American Pipit frolicking lakeside.

Not one but two different Bluebirds provided us happiness today!

Wise, wise birds."
