Birding... Yes, this is what we do!!!
Happy Day #15 of my birthday month...or The Ides of March, a day on the Roman calendar that was marked by several religious observances and was notable for the Romans as a deadline for settling debts. In 44 BC, it became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar which made the Ides of March a turning point in Roman history.
What a difference a day makes in a Tahoe winter!
After tromping through various snowy locations, we went back to Bob and Jenny's house and observed birds at play in their heated birdbath and well visited feeder. What fun! I always say their home is right out of National Geographic.
Creative expression, whether that means writing, dancing,
bird-watching, or cooking, can give a person almost everything
that he or she has been searching for:
enlivenment, peace, meaning, and the incalculable wealth
of time spent quietly in beauty.
