More Winter Trek Fun...

There is something pretty wonderful when one can wake up on a Thursday and know that snowshoeing on top of a mountain is the day's plan.  I love Winter Trek for that very reason.

We begin our day at Explore Tahoe:  An Urban Trailhead whose mission is "to encourage, inspire, and educate visitors and residents of Lake Tahoe to help preserve and protect this fragile resource and in doing so create a sustainable balance for future generations to come."


My favorite part of the day is the glorious gondola ride off the mountain with a group of students who just had a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I helped make happen.  It's a pretty magical feeling.
