Ushered our selves to the beach...

On our day off we decided to head in a direction we had not yet gone...south!  It is peak season for hydrangeas, one of the Lowcountry's most beautiful plants.  I wanted to be in and amongst them so we visited Rose Bank Farms.  We discovered in addition to spectacular flowers, baby bunnies, stunning chickens, and lovable cows.  A distinct change from what we had been doing.

We then unwound on Kiawah Island's beautiful, pristine coastline.  This is our third trip to the beach and the first time Steve was willing to swim.  He loved the Atlantic.  The lifeguard information said the water was 78 degrees but we thought it was much warmer.  He's hooked!  It was a day we both needed:  sun, swimming and Scrabble.  Does it get any better?

Oh, looks like a really fine day ! Are you and the colorful chickens in the same picture, with you watching them, or are they 2 separate pictures ?
Kegan will be arriving tomorrow nite. Hip, Hip, Hurray !

That sounds like a lot of fun. I love the picture of baby-grandpa (well, not a baby-baby, but you know what I mean) in the last post. That sounded like a pretty good show!
