Oceanside's Sunset Market

Our Tahoe friends, Jeff and Janet, are thawing during an extended stay in Oceanside and we gathered together for the wonderful Sunset Market.

Thanks to the expertise of our local connection, Brady, we began our evening at Stone Brewing for a quiet space to get caught up and, for some of the group, imbibe in their tasty creations.

Even Murphy got in on the fun with Stone Bones, "Treat your furry friend right with these treats, made from our spent grain, organic peanut butter, organic flour, organic eggs, and a little water. Made by our friends at Doggie Beer Bones. Don't worry - Stone Bones contain no alcohol." Hysterical.

As for the market, it features up to 200 merchants and spans four city blocks. It is San Diego County's top weekly food and music street fair. Every Thursday from 5-9 p.m., thousands of residents and visitors alike gather here to enjoy hot food from around the world, gourmet goodies and desserts, eclectic shopping and live entertainment. It has been located on Pier View Way west of Coast Highway in Downtown Oceanside since 2007.

After we all gathered our diverse food of choice, we found a table at the north end of the Market.
Steve recognized two of the musicians instantly. We were enthralled by the brother-sister duo Sandro and Tamara Eristavi in 2021 when we went to Fête de la Musique in Laguna Beach. We loved them then, and we loved them now. Fun stuff.

For us, a view from the rooftop of Copacabana at the Brick is the ideal way to end the evening.
What an overview of the magic that is this Market. If you want a more thorough glimpse of how this all comes together each week, I highly recommend you watch this video. I'm even more impressed. Wow.

Oceanside, while an hour away, is one of those places we are drawn to. Having the opportunity to share it was friends from Tahoe brings me JOY. What a fantastic night. We'll be back soon.
