More Friend Connections...

I blog to remember special moments. Our time with our Tahoe friends has been unforgettable. Back in the day of film, Fuji had a tagline, "Life is fun and we have the photos to prove it!" It is a motto I live by.

We've spent a lot of time with Cyndi who normally, at this time of year, is basking in the warm sunshine in Baja. Circumstances have kept her in the Sierra and I am not complaining.
We spent hours together prepping 480 cups of hot chocolate for the Holiday in History event. What fun.
Kay and John (on my right), invited us for a very adult evening of Dinner with Friends. It has been ages since we have had such a culinary experience and it was not only delicious but the company was exceptional.

We joined Linda and Bill for one last bowling opportunity before we migrate south.
Steve has a wrist injury so he had to sit it out but enjoyed Home Grown Bowl's free coffee and the camaraderie.
I bowled one of my better games, a 136. Prior to our last trip to Carson to bowl, it had been at least four years since I picked up a ball. Bowling is always a blast!
Karen and I took to the streets and walked 17,000 steps as we explored Margaritaville before its big opening.
We then headed to Ski Run Marina as she introduced me to Empanash, a new place in town serving traditional hand crafted Argentine empanadas. I love this eatery and plan to return soon.
We took our pastry-filled treats to-go and dined lakeside. Oh man.
Steve and Laura, our Orange County friends who relocated to the Silver State five years ago, met us for dinner at Bodine's (the roasted turkey plate is our favorite). It truly is beginning to feel like Christmas with all the celebratory meals had in the company of old friends.
We are filling our Tahoe days with friends, family, and happenings. What memories!

“Our lives are not the days that have passed,
but the days we will remember forever.”
