Holiday in History & Festival of Winter Lights

The Lake Tahoe Historical Society, in partnership with the City of South Lake Tahoe, orchestrated one of my new favorite Holiday Happenings.

What a magical night of community. The museum was open for local history lessons. Santa was in the Osgood Toll House with an eager lap for anyone willing to sit upon it. Music floated through the air with the sweet voices of students singing. Diverse vendors were there to help people finish up their Christmas shopping. The decorated Fire Truck allowed for awesome photo ops (this same truck will be cruising through our neighborhood on the 16th so this was a sneak peek). Sleigh rides and hot cocoa solidified the wonderment of the night. This two night event was definitely one not to missed. And did I mention the festivities were free? Wow.
