Rainy afternoon at the movies...

We returned to Sala Frau for one of the Senza Frontiere (http://withoutbordersfilm.org/) movies showing during three days of films that embrace our common humanity.

I was really taken by No Man's Land
.  "Five soldiers of different nationalities find themselves in a destroyed trench in the no man's land between the fronts during the First World War. The film exposes the cruel senselessness of war."

But more than issues of war, it showed that no matter what your uniform looks like or your language sounds like, people can get along when necessary.  It was a tale of unconditional friendship and hope.  It is a very poignant message told exceptionally well especially for a movie that was made 80 years ago!  A great way to spend a rainy afternoon.
