Our First 24 hours with Nick Hanten...
We've known our current guest, Nick, since he was about 10 years old. His mom, also a Denise, read my blog about WWOOFing and posted the following comment:
Nick decided to spend the next few weeks helping out on our friends' farm Località Il Piano. So, for two nights, he is here acclimating to Italy and seeing the local sights we've come to know and love: the Duomo; hiking in the woods; la chiesa di San Salvatore (568 AD) and just simply meandering through the cobblestone streets of our Spoleto.
Eureka!! Nick, the soon to be UC Davis graduate, said the other day the only thing he really wants to do right now is start an organic, sustainable farm. I knew there was an organization that hooked up volunteers with farmers and here it is, WWOOF! Denise, you always have the answers even when you don't know the questions.
