Lunch at Villa Marianna...a "pinch me" moment

Just when we thought the truly amazing moments in Italy were fleeting, today happens and the "pinch me, I'm in Italy" begins anew.  Lunch at Villa Marianna, high above the Umbrian countryside in the garden of a 16th century villa, was almost surreal.  Leonardo and his mother, Daniela, took fantastic care of us and made the afternoon unforgettable.

Several courses of traditional, homemade delicacies, sumptuous red wine, an unbelievably stunning view and the company of six delightful strangers (and two great friends) made the three hour lunch fly by far too quickly.

Alla tabella con i buoni amici e famiglia non diventate vecchi.
Italian to English Translation:
At the table with good friends and family you do not become old...
