96° in the sun...way fun!
Today could not have been more perfect for Annie and Bob's first day in Spoleto. We had exceptional weather and great opportunities for fun.
We showed them everything a tourist should see. Introducing them to our favorite shoe cobbler, Giam Piero, and a truly traditional Italian shopkeeper, Gian Carlo. We had drinks overlooking the Umbrian countryside and we even went to an incredible concert in Palazzo Collicola (1717).
The concert was pretty special. Schwetzingen, Germany, is a sister city to Spoleto and this was a program showcasing students of la Scuola Comunale here and a very talented quintet from the 'asparagus capital of the world' (Schwetzingen). Mesmerizing music filled the opulent palazzo.
The evening ended with a leisurely passigiata followed by dinner on the terrazza. Molto meravigliosa!
