Independence Day Pt. 2: Fireworks
South Lake Tahoe's Lights on the Lake firework show, crafted by the American Pyrotechnics Association, was worth staying up for.
I'll let the images prove it.Fireworks had for her a direct and magical appeal.
Their attraction was more complex than that of any other form of art.
They had pattern and sequence, color and sound, brilliance and mobility;
they had suspense, surprise, and a faint hint of danger;
above all, they had the supreme quality of transience,
which puts the keenest edge on beauty
and makes it touch some spring in the heart which
more enduring excellences cannot reach.
~Jan Struther
“We celebrate Independence Day in our country to remind us,
that our country and its freedom is the result of sweat, patience, persistence,
and sacrifice of those with the courage to dream freedom
and make it a reality for their future generations.”
― Mohith Agadi
"The United States is the only country with a known birthday.
All the rest began, they know not when,
and grew into power, they know not how....
There is no Republican, no Democrat, on the Fourth of July—
all are Americans."
~James Gillespie Blaine
Parades, family gathered, and fireworks... Ours was an Independence Day to be remembered. I hope the same is true for you!
