Playing with Bob & Jenny...

For our South Lake Tahoe friends, nature is what brings the most joy. Being out in it with Bob and Jenny was a must for us while here.

Besides absorbing the beauty all around us, we searched for birds. Both Bob and Jenny are competing in the Tahoe Big Year, a contest where they count the different bird species seen over a calendar year. Jenny is in first place, thus far. This killdeer is #103. WOW.

Our birding took us to all our favorite South Shore haunts. Such memories are evoked on the shore at Camp Richardson's.

Taylor Creek was peaceful and an idyllic wandering spot.

Baldwin Beach provided the backdrop of my favorite photo of me! My birthday month is a winner. Yahoo.
"Another glorious Sierra day in which one seems to be dissolved
and absorbed and sent pulsing onward we know not where.
Life seems neither long nor short,
and we take no more heed to save time or make haste
than do the trees and stars. This is true freedom,
a good practical sort of immortality."

It looks so beautiful and chilly! Love those snow covered mountains.
Good luck to Bob and Jenny! I am sure this will be their year!
