Estate Sales...

Yesterday, while on our walk, we came across this Estate Sale.

While I love the treasure hunt of them (the table I'm standing behind is now ours for our Tahoe porch), I always feel a sadness. We met Henry and Dort. Henry's passing preceded his wife's by 12 years. Dort lived to be 96. Wandering about in their home was a glimpse into their life story- one well lived (Christmas in Germany, her crafts, his military models, family photographs).

I find solace in knowing that Dort's things will be loved and that she made this gal happy with her treasures.
