Jenny's Pink Supermoon: Tahoe

Our friends, Bob and Jenny, keep us connected to Tahoe via images they share of life on the Lake. Wow.

We have, on many occasions, viewed moon rises with them.
Since we couldn't be there, Jenny sent us her photos and description, "The heavy clouds parted just in time tonight!  Bob came too, and we could see Rich and Carol flashing their lights from Valhalla Pier.  Cute idea (it was prearranged that everyone, lakeside, would signal their flashlights at 7:47 PM)."
She continues, "One of my photos (all taken without a tripod) morphed into an Easter Egg Moon.  Thought that was cool. Did you guys see it too?" We did not see it, as it was raining here. We appreciate the excitement of it all, vicariously... always.
FYI Supermoons occur when the moon is within 90% of perigee -- which is its closest approach to Earth in orbit. The first full moon of spring, a supermoon, gets its name from native North American wildflowers that bloom in early springtime: Phlox subulata, known as "moss pink," according to the Old Farmer's Almanac. Interesting stuff.

Remembering when you and I went out at dawn one frosty morning to watch the full moon set. Love that you are always up for adventure. Wishing you were here. Stay safe, be well. Miss you!
