Tuesday Part 2: Ukuleles

Every Tuesday, for the last three years, the South Shore Ukulelians have gathered for food, drinks, plenty of singing, strumming and laughing. Today we joined them- finally.

We arrived early and grabbed a loaner ukulele and began to get excited.

Jeff was there, giving free lessons which Steve embraced fully. By the end of the night, he could play.
Cyndi and I strummed, sang and earnestly tried to play. Were we good? Hmm. Probably not according to those sitting near us.
Karen and Stephen were game, too. It was great to be there with friends.
Gary comes all the way from Gardnerville and has been playing for about 15 years. Way fun.
I estimate that over 100 players were there. When the singing and playing were happening, the room was filled with a joyous vibe. I loved it all.
"There’s something about the ukulele that just makes you smile.
It makes you let your guard down.
It brings out the child in all of us."
