Mother's Day: Charleston Style
After speaking to all my babies, we continued our day with a stroll to the waterfront and around town. We were passing time until 1 PM when the fun began.
We then headed to the very traditional, all year long thing to do here- Second Sunday on King Street. For four hours King Street (a pretty historic and important avenue) is only open to pedestrians as they stroll from storefront to storefront to browse, eat, or drink.
Oh, and there were super talented artists performing. These guys are the Holy City’s premiere all-male a cappella quartet, The Charlestones. We actually have tickets to their show during the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. Can't wait!
One week ago (wow, a whole week) we started our Charleston adventure at Nick and Deb's. And here we were again for a fantastic afternoon in the glorious, breezy 91° weather.
Exceptional food, delightful company and unforgettable memories- it was perfect.AND we loved Deb's Lemon Curd Cake. Wow.
“Today was good.
Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one.”

What was that? Dolphin -- shark?
Happy Mama Day! What a way to celebrate!
The lemon curd cake looks spectacular! So does the food platter. It looks like they eat pretty good in South Carolina...

What an amazing way to spend Mother's Day, having you both at our home was truly the icing on the cake! Good times!
