Unique storytelling in the library...
Twenty-five school children took a field trip to the library for a tour and an unique storytelling experience. The librarian, Clara, has an amazing book by Warja Lavater, a Swiss artist and illustrator noted primarily for creating accordion fold books that re-tell classic fairy tales with symbols rather than words (or even pictures).
The story of Tom Thumb (Le Petit Poucet) kept all of the six year olds mesmerized. After a very enthusiastic "reading", costumes were distributed and the story was recreated by the excited children. It was rewarding to witness imagination alive and well in Spoleto!

Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale of all.
