Out for Mexican Food...
Sí! Mexican food...in Italy, at my German friend, Gundula's! Wild right? Her husband is an amazing cook. Dinner was a true festín: three different beans, guacamole, several salsas, homemade corn and flour tortillas, and home-brewed beer.
It has been two International Friday nights in a row with the same two delightful families dining on delectable meals with entertaining company.
Michka and I decorated a panettone, Italy's famous sweet Christmas bread, as a delicious "house" that was a fun dessert. Steve and I enjoy the children of these two families because they are so sweet and because we remember how life was with little ones and it seems to make us appreciate our big ones even more.

Awe, the kids are so cute!! And the food and drink sounds like a great combo! Another fun day for the Haerrs...
Is the panettone really sweet or just a touch of sweetness? My German friend always says that everything is too sweet in the U.S.
:)
