Halloween: Yahtzee & Full Moon
Our Spooktacular night began here, on Bob and Jenny's deck, overlooking bootiful Lake Tahoe while playing Yahtzee!
When dinner called, we went into our camper and ate, they in their house. When we were all finished, we regrouped. What a perfect COVID cautious arrangement! We then headed to Cove East to watch the moonrise and were greeted by this amazing owl. It seemed the ideal Halloween welcome.
“The moon is the reflection of your heart
and moonlight is the twinkle of your love.”
-Debasish Mridha
October's first full moon was the harvest moon on October 1, and the second was a rare full Halloween blue hunter's moon.
While a blue moon seems rare (two full moons in the same month), a full moon on Halloween, across time zones. is even more rare -- an event that hasn't occurred since 1944 (the next will be in 2039).
Moon gazing with friends is one of our most favorite things to do. It was definitely a night of all treats and no tricks!
