First Ever Friends of the Library Drive-Thru Grab Bag Book Sale...

WHOA, what a title and what an event!

The Friends of the Library book sales are its largest revenue generator. Needless-to-say, the traditional way of doing things had to change. And what a great adaptation this was.
For $5, customers chose a bag of books, based on the genre they wanted. I chose Children's Picture Books and Adult General Fiction.
It was a mystery as to what books you would receive, but that made it all that much more fun.
Customers drove along the various tables and told the volunteer what genre and how many and the bags were then placed in people's cars. No one got out of their vehicles and there was no human to human contact (sad but necessary).

Even a mom rode up on her bike, with her tot in tow.
The final stop in the process was to deposit the exact amount, cash or check, into the treasurer's money bag.
While not as lucrative as a traditional book sale, I saw so many happy bibliophiles contentedly loading up their new reads.

This was my score of Adult General Fiction. I purchased mine solely to restock my Little Free Library. What a literary treasure trove.
