Organ Concert Fundraiser...
Our friend, Cyndy, is selfless and does so much for so many. When she asked if I could help with a fundraiser she was coordinating, I not only said, "Absolutely" but I also recruited my other Cyndi to join in the fun.
Cyndy is also a talented chef whose food is not only delicious but whimsical as well. These olive/cream cheese/carrot penguins were precious. We almost hated to eat them... almost.
David Brock is an accomplished and generous organist who graciously hosts fĂȘtes in his home for a variety of charities.
His multi-story organ, custom built for his home, is a work of art.
The acoustics were amazing. His repertoire of Christmas songs was extremely welcomed.
The Northtar Chamber Players had me almost in tears. Their version of Silent Night was hauntingly beautiful. The March of the Toys from "Babes in Toyland" had everyone's toes tapping. It really was spectacular.
This seemed to be a very successful fundraiser for the Barton Foundation and Neal's Room.
The Neal Olsen Memorial Playroom at Barton Memorial Hospital has been fully remodeled! Near the Snowflake Lobby, stands a door that allows patients and guests a wonderful, colorful and relaxing place to getaway. Here, you’ll find fun toys, educational and imaginative books, flat screen TV, a hand-washing station, remodeled washroom, and access to the outside play gym (when the weather is warm, of course)!Wine flowed, food was savored, and music filled the room- all while snow flurries danced outside the windows. Cyndi described it as magical. Well said!
