Nature abounds in Tahoe and this morning an episode of National Geographic could be filmed at Bob and Jenny's house.

The morning began with an adult and juvenile Bald Eagle taking turns eating a duck on the frozen lake. 

Then as we were driving away, the same bear that visited Jenny's deck last week, returned.

As we traveled around the lake, we had to stop in an area of prescribed burning. There was something beautiful and mesmerizing about the flames in the snow.
Our next stop was Sunnyside where a special Loon was rumored to be.
We absolutely love birding with Bob and Jenny. It's infectious. As we were getting ready to move on to our next destination, I spotted this bird. While not the unique loon they had come for, it was still neat to discover a new bird to us!
