Wild flowers in the Dolomiti...

Today was spent exploring the Seiser Alm, (Italian: Alpe di Siusi), the largest high altitude Alpine meadow in Europe. Located in Italy's South Tyrol province in the Dolomites mountain range, it is a major tourist attraction, known for skiing and hiking.

We marveled in everything about this special place including its amazing wildflowers!

The hills are alive with the sound of music
With songs they have sung for a thousand years
The hills fill my heart with the sound of music
My heart wants to sing every song it hears...
And so on.
The Sound of Music, one of the greatest movies EVER.
I love the blue flower, it looks as though it could have easily been overlooked. Even though it is bright, it is small. :)
