Our Memorial Day in Italy...

I know for most of you, a barbecue on Memorial Day isn't anything to blog about, but here in Italy, hot dogs, burgers, deviled eggs and all the accouterments are so rare that I found myself giddy with the prospect of a little bit of home.

Our group delighted in the warm Italian breezes and dramatic sunset as we celebrated this special day of remembrance with family and friends.

happy belated Mem Day. glad you had a bit of home for a wonderful celebration. you might not remember me, but my american family along with my entire extended family from Malta were your floor mates over the new year. we are all fine with my hubby Mark back in Italy (Sciacca, Sicily this time) right now, while i hold down the fort here in CO with Giuseppe and Luciana. I try to read your blog once every week or so.

Who cooked?
I missed the BBQing...we spent from 5:15am to 8pm DRIVING! Now all I can think about is deviled eggs and potato salad!
