Athens- the Acropolis and beyond...

After being greeted at the ship by our personal tour guide Paul, we were whisked away to The Acropolis before the crowds and the heat permeated Athens.

All the highlights of this ancient city were explored with history lessons and numerous photo opportunities.  It was a great introduction to Classical Athens... a powerful city-state... a center for the arts, learning and philosophy, home of Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum...the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy...and we were there.

I love your yellow sun dress! It adds a little something to the pics. :)
The military men look so bleak. Did they mind being photographed?
How was the meat wrap? It looks meatalicious.
