Armed with our $10 Christmas Tree permit, Steve, Cyndi and I headed out into the forest to hunt for our perfect ornament holder.
The morning gloom cleared and made a trek through the woods idyllic.Steve and I prefer a 'tabletop' tree. Our hunt wasn't a long one.Cyndi came armed with a powerful, albeit tiny, chainsaw. We made quick work of the task at hand.The tradition of cutting one's own Christmas tree was a new one for us, but since moving to Tahoe, it has become one of our most treasured.
