Angora Lake For Stand Up Paddleboarding
With Cindy's stay being so brief, I asked her what she didn't want to miss. It was a day at Angora Lakes Resort that was her #1 choice. Fantastic, as I have to get there at least once a summer and it looks like today was it!
The resort is actually at Upper Angora Lake. This is the first breathtaking lake we approach as we hike to our destination. WOW, right?
The Angora Lakes Resort has been nestled, secluded, here since 1917. This is my 8th visit here, in the 10 summers we have lived in Tahoe.
We arrived before the rentals opened. After our hour on the lake, we bought French pressed coffees and parked ourselves in the shade. We spent most of the day there, delighting in all the activities this special place holds. Yes, another so Tahoe moment!
After Cindy cooked us a delicious dinner, we strolled to the Farmers' Market on Ski Run Blvd. This was our first visit there, this season. We vowed to return (hungry).
Home for showers and competitive rounds of Rummikub on the front porch (until it got too dark to see) was how we concluded our day.
What a fun, full, Tahoe experience!
