Unpacking THE Photo Albums...

Anyone who knows me (or follows this blog) knows I am an enthusiastic photo taker. I grew up with very few childhood photos so I think I over compensated once I had a family of my own.

When we moved out of this Temecula house (in 2010) we put all our precious albums into a storage unit and kept them there because we didn't want them in Tahoe (no room and fire danger). Now that we have room for all our stored treasures, we unloaded... It's Christmas in March!
I placed photos into albums from 1986 to 2004. For the most part, they are those horrible (we now know) magnetic albums with 100 pages of photos in each. So how many of these treasured books have we amassed during those 18 years?
Oh my gosh, 120 of them. WOWZERS. The paper on the left is a list of inventory and location. Be forewarned, I may be doing some flashbacks, sharing past fun along with our current goings on.

What you have caught on film is captured forever…
It remembers little things,
long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind
These two cupboards document "The Big Trips" (circa 1998- 2004). These arrived during my scrapbooking phase. They are works of art actually. Wow.

to understand what our lives mean to us.”
