Two Kinds of Spooky...

There was kind of a lot going on today. My first stop was at the Spooky Stormwater Fall Festival, hosted by the League to Save Lake Tahoe.

Karen was a volunteer at this educational, free, family-friendly event at Sidellis Brewery. The spooky part of was learning about all the scary stuff that gets in our lovely Lake.
My next stop was to Valhalla to usher for the final terrifying weekend of The Woman in Black: A Ghost Play.
Arriving early for my shift, I wandered. Fall colors and smoke from the NorCal fires were visible from the Boathouse's dock.

As a kick off for the Halloween season, this very well acted performance was a spine-tingling tale of mystery, suspense, and a vengeful ghost. It left me rather rattled, its goal no doubt. There was something very magical about being at the Boathouse, this late in the season. What an unforgettable night.
“I had been right, this was just the sort of place
where superstition and tittle-tattle were rife,
and even allowed to hold sway over commonsense.”
