First Bear Sighting in our Neighborhood

We happened upon this little guy as we walked out our door this morning.


I think we spooked him and he promptly ran up the highest tree, located in our neighbor's yard.



In the photo below, Steve is pointing to the bear in the tree. The above photo was taken with my telephoto lens! Wow, right? What an exceptional experience.

It is amazing that they are such good climbers, being that they don't appear so...
I love the happy bear picture when he completed his mission. The fun never stops in Tahoe!
BTW le Tour de France comes through Carcassonne tomorrow!
