We gleefully volunteered when Ranger Jennifer asked for ADA escorts to assist a special needs student, as part of a 3rd grade field trip. We caravanned with his assistant and him down the steep hill to spectacular Emerald Bay.
During our three hours there we had our own picnic, gave history lessons to the students, vicariously went on a scavenger hunt with Steve even squeezing in a short nap.
It was a perfect day to share this special spot with these special students.
