Trained for Camp Sunrise...
Prior to moving to Tahoe, I had read about Camp Sunrise and it called to me.
Barton Foundation's annual Camp Sunrise, a bereavement camp designed for children ages 7 through 14, will be held in June at the Galilee Camp & Conference Center in Glenbrook, Nevada. The camp is founded on the understanding that every child deserves the opportunity to grieve in a safe, supportive and understanding environment. Funded by Barton Foundation, this is a program of Barton Hospice.
Tonight was the training and through tears, I learned just what I will be doing for the weekend. While fun, it will be emotional and I am certain to gain so much.
