We began the morning along the Carson River
in Hope Valley, trying out the newest hobby... fishing. It could not
have been a more spectacular day to spend hanging out together. Since the fish were not biting, we moved to Lake Caples. This two-mile long lake, at an elevation of 7,800 feet, has 6 miles of shoreline where we fished and picnicked.
An evening of dinner and movies at home, was the perfect end to our leisurely weekend.

It looks too cold to swim!
Fred wants to get into fishing. Our new plan is to camp near a lake and catch our own food. But I have never had much luck fishing so we better have a back up plan and not just bring tarter sauce. :)
