Our Nephew is Here for the Weekend...








In the middle of a chaotic carpet removal, floor painting, and carpet install, we got a call from our nephew saying that his weekend plans had changed and would it be okay for him and his sweet girlfriend to accept the invitation I've offered many times to visit.

We gleefully said yes and they arrived yesterday at 6 PM (carpet layers left at 2).

Last night was the third of 11 concerts on the beach, so after appetizers and drinks on the porch, we headed to the Lake.  It was Reggae night.  The 7-piece ensemble, Keyser Soze has an original ska/rocksteady sound with strong jazz and soul influences and was incredible.  The 'people watching' was on a level that was unbelievable.  All the components of a great Reggae night were there:  dreadlocks, undulating dance moves, and lots of "ganja".  Yet at the same time, families were having a fantabulous night.

As we enjoyed the rhythms, we experienced a spectacular sunset.  This was a perfect introduction to Tahoe for Célina and it promises to be a phenomenal weekend.

Wow. Looks like they visited on the perfect day. What fun! They must have been very happy their plans changed, and that two are so accomodating!
