Music on the Lawn at Valhalla...
Our Father's Day was spent volunteering at Valhalla for the Tallac Association's first "Music on the Lawn" event of the season. "Bring your picnic basket, lawn chairs and sunscreen and relax under the large Ponderosa Pines near the shoreline of Lake Tahoe."
The program opened with South Lake Tahoe High School's exceptional 20-piece band. Their talent and song choice had everyone cheering. Following them was the local band "Exceeding 55". We were anticipating this part of the show because our neighbor, Robert, is the bassist and the band name is a reference to the members' ages. They played 60s classic folk rock. While the two music groups were distinctly different, each were thoroughly loved by the audience.
What an idyllic and historic location for families to spend Father's Day. Children frolicked, parents listened, and everyone enjoyed.

Looks like fun. Was Steve's job to pour beer again? He is going to develop a name for himself as the South Tahoe beer guy!
