Drive-in movies' 79th Birthday
It's hard to believe that 79 years ago today, the American Drive-in was born. Promoted as "The whole family is welcome, regardless of how noisy the children are."
In high school, this was the economic and fun way for a bunch of friends to see the current film. The last time we did this was two years ago with the kids in San Luis Obispo at the Sunset Drive-In Movie Theater watching "The Expendables". It felt very vintage. Christy said that she felt like she was a part of the movie, "Grease". I loved it all. Drive-ins are a fun opportunity to cuddle under the blankets and stars while watching a movie.

Ah the drive in! What fun that use to be! As kids it was a big deal to go and then fill up on all the fun treats! There are not many left and it is a shame! Looks like a fun time!
I have NEVER been to a drive in! I wish Oceanside didn't close theirs down.
But I am confused...when did you do this?
