Live at Lakeview's 90th Show!
We always know where we're going to be on a Thursday night during a summer in South Lake Tahoe...Lakeview Commons for Live at Lakeview.
Tonight's show was extra special because it was the 90th concert since it all began in 2012. I had to laugh when I saw the instagram promotional photo. That's Cyndi and me behind the man in tie-dye on the 80th show. So dang funny.Steve and I were at the inaugural show the first summer we moved here. It was the Summer Solstice and the ribbon cutting for this new amazing venue.
A decade later, the event is still going strong and we're still as devoted as ever. After a thunderstorm delay, Luke & Kaylee entertained as the opening act.
During the band changeover, this guy came from the audience to juggle knives. Only in Tahoe!
The headliner was Dennis Johnson & The Revelators and man can this guy shred.
"Dennis realized at a young age that music was his calling. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dennis heard the music of Chuck Berry and it struck a chord with him. As a teenager, he taught himself the guitar and discovered his passion for slide guitar. He discovered the music of Robert Johnson, Roy Rogers, and Norton Buffalo and was hooked."
These musicians were some of the most talented performers we have ever seen. It's no wonder that Rob Giustina, owner of On Course Events, warned when introducing them, that they are going to be too big for him to get back again. WOW.
