Disney Lane: A Happy Place

Our friends, David & Karen, purchased their dream lot on the ideally named street Disney Lane. Karen was my Disneyland cohort and has found her substitute happiest place on Earth while the Magic Kingdom is closed.

Steve and I visited for an afternoon of catching up and envisioning future fun here, hillside.

Boys and their toys...
Wonderful foliage is scattered around the property. Much of it is adorned with edible treats. We plan to return to harvest through the various seasons.
We even had the opportunity to do some birding, too.

The persimmons were ripe and it was wonderful to observe the birds dining on the spectacular fruit.
Even Steve snacked on this delicious berry. In case you didn't know, like the tomato, persimmons are not commonly considered to be berries, but morphologically the fruit is in fact a berry. Hmmm.
Another tasty berry, found around the property, are avocados. Yum.
Vast scenic views, fruit for the picking, a variety of beautiful birds, and a spectacular sunset... This is truly a happy place. We look forward to returning frequently.

A beautiful property with such a bounty of delight! yum! Great birding site too. Downy Woodpecker, Yellow-Rumped Warbler, hummer (has a beak issue), Black Phoebe, and what looks like a Townsends Warbler (I get giddy when we see one, uncommon here). Congratulations to Karen and David! Disney Ridge, how perfect!
