Our sons and their girls arrived for a several day stay over the holiday weekend. It was family time of simple fun.

Most of our meals were dined al fresco. Our barbecue was finally dusted off and well used. Yum.
It has been years since we've lit a backyard bonfire. It was a true treat.

We had silly fun, too.
Our beach time happened after a walk through the Truckee Marsh. So scenic and uncrowded.
No 4th is complete without shivering in Lake Tahoe.
We absolutely loved every moment of our cozy cabin bursting with company!
