With Erline in Emerald Bay...

Yesterday, Erline and Chesta arrived for a several day Sierra Sojourn. If you've been reading this blog, you know Erline.

Erline is here to do a presentation at the South Lake Tahoe Library tomorrow evening. In the meantime, Bob and Jenny escorted us to Emerald Bay.
While there, Chesta and Erline toured Vikingsholm Castle. This was a first for both.
Then Erline and I went for a swim in the wonderful, albeit chilly, waters of Lake Tahoe.
What a perfect way to reconnect with the Lake and old friends. Life is good!
"...at last the Lake burst upon us—a noble sheet of blue water lifted six thousand three hundred feet above the level of the sea, and walled in by a rim of snow-clad mountain peaks that towered aloft full three thousand feet higher still! ... As it lay there with the shadows of the mountains brilliantly photographed upon its still surface I thought it must surely be the fairest picture the whole earth affords." —Mark Twain
