Crafternoon at My House...

Several months ago, a group of us formed a get together where we each host a day of being creative. It is called Crafternoon.

This was a two-fer day. Our first endeavor was to create paracord bracelets (an example is the blue item on the left). What are paracord bracelets good for you might ask? An intact paracord bracelet (aka 'survivor' bracelet) can and has been used as a tourniquet to stop severe bleeding. Paracord bracelets also provide suitable material for lashing together splints. If a snowshoe binding breaks, this bracelet can be undone and used to hook the snowshoe to one's foot. It's also great for helping someone up a hill as a rope. Oh man, its uses are endless. Look at me being so helpful.
Our second craft, while not as useful, was certainly fun. We created refrigerator magnets, spelling special words out of Scrabble tiles. This is one of my favorite things to make and justifies all the Scrabble games I keep purchasing from thrift stores. A delicious lunch, creativeness and friendship were all ingredients that made for a special Summer day. Wow.

Oh, one of my favorite words was there. Isn't imagine just filled with endless possibilities and a positive vibe?
