Salvation Army's New Store...

Last month, I shared the thrift store fun we had at the Goodwill Outlet. Today's fun happened, just over the hill, at the Grand Opening of the new Salv in Carson City, NV.

A little about this organization from their website:
In response to the need for jobs and affordable merchandise, coupled with the fear of disease and a desire to preserve the land, founder William Booth created the Household Salvage Brigade (1865) composed of a group of men and women responsible for collecting unwanted household items. Now, by operating successful Thrift Stores and integrating with the mission and work of The Salvation Army as a whole, we exist to be a functioning and thriving modern day model of the Brigade through which the marginalized and excluded of society will be refreshed and regenerated by way of meeting their practical needs.
Besides getting great deals, we were refreshed by the free coffee & donuts offered us on this welcoming opening day.
