Dr. Hugh Safford's Climate Talk...

Climate change, forests, and fire: what do current trends mean for resource management in the Sierra Nevada? was expertly presented by Hugh D. Safford, PhD, Regional Ecologist, USFS to an incredibly attentive library audience. Dr. Safford summarized trends in climatic change from the past, present, and projected future, and discussed how these interact with wildfire and other disturbances and stressors to influence terrestrial ecosystems. And he did it in a way that was entertaining.

"Libraries represent the diversity and immensity of human thought,
our collective knowledge laid out in rows of revealing inspiration."
